Product Description The AprilAire Model 60 Low Voltage 9-Wire Automatic Humidifier Control (Humidistat) with Digital Display works with your AprilAire Whole Home Humidifier to accurately maintain the relative humidity in your home. When using the included Outdoor Temperature Sensor with Automatic Mode, every 2 degree Fahrenheit change in outdoor temperature will prompt the Automatic Humidifier Control to adjust the indoor relative humidity (RH) by 1%. This Humidistat may also be used in Manual Mode if you prefer to adjust the humidity setting yourself. Large, blue LED backlit LCD display shows RH% and the set point when adjusting it up or down. Features integrated Blower Activation function that maximizes humidifier run time by running with the heat and fan cycles of an HVAC system, or, if additional time is needed, it can bring the HVAC fan on itself. Model 60 offers fully electronic control that is accurate to with +/-3% RH and is compatible with AprilAire Whole House Humidifiers in the following Series: 400, 500, 600, 700 (works with Gray or Almond Housing models in the 700 Series). Will not work with Model 800 Steam Humidifier.Features a Change Water Panel LED Indicator Light to remind you to regularly change the water panel in your AprilAire Humidifier. Change Water Panel setting can be adjusted if your heating season is less than 3-months or you have very hard water. Additional LED Indicator lights provide visual feedback when the humidifier is on and when service is needed. When in Manual Mode, the digital display conveniently shows a letter "M" as a reminder. This Humidifier Control must be mounted on the return air duct.For proper operation, the Humidifier Control must be at least 6 inches upstream of any of the following: Humidifier, Humidifier Bypass Ductwork (if applicable), and/or Fresh Air Intake Ductwork (if applicable). Requires a sheet metal duct hole opening of 3/4 inches in diameter for the RH sensor. Model 60 also includes a gasket to help reduce air leakage between the duct and the control housing. AprilAire Whole Home Humidifier is sold separately.
