The card reader features both contact and contactless/NFC card reading capabilities. For an added level of security, the SECURE BOARD 1.0 can be operated in Secure Mode to encrypt keystrokes as a preventative measure against keylogging. With this feature, the device can authenticate itself with a certificate, and the key transmission is encrypted. The Secure Mode also protects against BadUSB attacks, by locking the USB channel, thus, preventing any other devices from malicious activity, providing secure communication.
