A scent inspired by the fig tree in the heat of the summer in Greece.Philosykos is an ode to the entire fig tree: the green freshness of the leaves, the milky flavor of the figs, and the density of the white wood. Inspired by a memory of a Greek summer at Mount Pelion where, to get to the sea, there was a natural grove of wild sun-soaked fig trees to cross. In reference to Plato, who believed the fig tree had the power to enhance intelligence, Philosykos means "friend of the fig tree" in Greek. All parts of the tree are captured at various stages of development within this fragrance. The iconic oval label is deeply rooted in diptyque’s story. The thread of inspiration runs from ancient Rome to the fabric designs created during the early days of the diptyque adventure.
