FLEX 24V HIGH-TORQUE IMPACT WRENCH PERFORMANCE
Flex rolled out their 1/2 inch high torque impact wrench kit with an impressive 800 ft-lbs of fastening and 1150 ft-lbs. of breakaway torque. That’s not the highest available in the cordless world, but it’s still very impressive. The sensor-free brushless motor and 5.0Ah battery pair that muscle with up to 2450 IPM and a max speed of 2000 RPM. Low and medium speeds net 500 and 1000 RPM when you need more control.
When it comes to passenger vehicles this power level should have no problem taking off even the most stubborn lug nuts. You’ll likely find its limits when you start turning to larger vehicles and equipment. There’s a key in the drive size, though. With a 1/2-inch square drive, you’re best off working with sockets under 1 1/2 inches. From there, it’s time to look at 3/4- or 1-inch drives.
